APATS is the leading airline training meeting and the only one that focuses on the Asia Pacific region as opposed to a single country.
APATS 2021 Virtual will allow operators a ‘deep dive’ into key topics needed to enable a safe return to more normal levels of operation.
Our focus is to support airlines as they prepare for a return to full service. Three key topics, identified by local experts and applied to Pilot, Cabin Crew and Maintenance teams are;
Skills / Competency Fade
Evidence Based Training (EBT)
Recruitment, Selection and Human Factors
The Conference is constructed to allow operators to hear from global and regional experts in each space. Each conference session will be followed by a ‘deep dive’ or ‘workshop’ session designed to provide the answers to ‘how to’ address and implement the subject.
This not simply a discussion of the topic or regulation but a practical session designed to aid adoption.

APATS 2020 Report
More than 20 of the Asia Pacific region’s leading experts on airline pilot, cabin crew and maintenance training met online to discuss, among other things, how to best manage the new world of online training in a socially distanced world.
The first virtual version of Halldale Group and CAT magazine’s Asia Pacific Airline Training Summit (APATS) was held in early September, led by Capt. Jacques Drappier. The three-day event featured three hours per day in 60-minute sessions, which included Q&A in real-time. Read the full report.
