Captain Aric Oh

Group Managing Director, Lion Air Group

Capt. Aric Oh is the Group Managing Director for the Lion Air Group. He was previously the Senior Vice President for Flight Operations and Training, Asiana Airlines and prior to that, was Head of Industry and International Affairs of Singapore Airlines. He has 48 years of extensive aviation experience covering Training, Safety, Technical, CNS/ATM matters, Network and Route Flight Planning, Fuel Management, ICAO work at various Study Groups/Task Forces, and working with International Organizations. Captain Oh is an accredited Aircraft Accident Investigator. He was the co-chair of the IATA Asia Pacific/North Asia Regional Coordination Group representing some 290 IATA airlines worldwide, a past member of the IATA Operations Committee and AAPA’s Technical Committee, and was formally IFALPA’s Regional Vice President for Asia East.

Capt. Oh holds two Masters’ degrees majoring in Business Administration and Communications/Public Administration earning top academic recognition in both disciplines. He was a recipient of the prestigious IFALPA Scroll of Merit, a member of ISASI, and recognized Fellow at both the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics in the United Kingdom.
